After 18 months of minimal face to face interactions with regular meetings being held via Zoom, the Rotary Club of St Andrew North arranged an afternoon Christmas get together on Saturday 11th December.
The event was attended by 16 Northerners in an open courtyard of the home of our past President Glenroy Williams and his wife Maxine.
A great time was had by all persons in attendance. President Kecia Taylor was particularly excited about the opportunity for Northerners to interact on a face to face basis. She expressed the hope that during the second half of this Rotary year, subject to Covid-19 protocols announced by the Government of Jamaica, the club would be able to hold one or two face to face regular meetings per month.
While wishing Northerners a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year she thanked the membership for their support and giving through the year to date.
She singled out, in particular support for projects to be completed in late December into January; microwave donation to the Golden Aged Home, food and antibacterial agents to Mary's Child, computer equipment to be donated to the Domestic Violence Centre and 15 seater mobile unit for the Jamaica Cancer Society.
